Poll question: KISS fans: Best Solo KISS album?
KISS fans will recall that back in 1978, each member of the band released his own solo album under the KISS heading. Which one was the best?

I've gotta say Ace's was by faaaaaaaaaaar the best. Every tune was catchy riff-oriented rock and roll. Still a good listen...

Your thoughts? (If anyone actually gives a shit!)

1. I agree... I think Paul Stanley's comes in second place.

2. Don't know about best, but worst was Frehely's Comet album
Absolutely hideous. One of the worst rock album's I've ever heard.

3. I don't think Frehley's Comet counts
I believe we are talking about the four simultaneously released KISS solo albums from 1979 (I think that was the year)

Ace definitely surprised everyone by making a really good album.

4. Kiss, Inc.
Even when these albums came out in the '70s, and I was a mere lad of 14, I recognized that this was mercenary corporate rock bullshit at its best (or worst). No more than a hair's breadth away from the "KISS" comic book, which featured ink mixed with "actual KISS-members' blood!" But Ace's solo disc had one or two catchy tunes---including that one semi-hit whose title I can't remeber. So he gets my vote. Ace, the "Space Alien," who has aged the worst of any in the band. I love to look at his sagging jowels now, under all that silver makeup. Stuff of nightmares.
