I found a new drink: vodka and sprite! |
|
what a wonderful drink! A friend told me about it Friday night and I finally tried it tonight and downed 3 in an hour and a half during dinner. Absolute and Sprite! :9

1. even better than vodka and sprite |
|
are the various flavored vodkas and sprite.
i usually get Stoli Rapsberry and Sprite with lime, but my fav bartender turned me on to Hangar One raspberry infused vodka - it was a whole different experience. and also quite good.

9. i think it's a limited run |
|
so might not be avaialble.
I've played aroudn with quite a few of the flavored ones. Another good combo I liked is stoli orange with a splash of cran and then top with the sprite. It's very pretty and it tastes good too.

23. This is the safest method since it has little to no added sugar |
|
But vodkas often have quite a bit of sugar in them from the fermentation (look for the lower-calorie varieties to minimize this). A good smooth vodka such as Smirnoff combined with a low-sugar base for your beverage is the best way to go.

5. Vodka with ANYthing bubbly and lemony or limey is great! |
|
I luvs me some vodka drinks. My favorite drink is vodka and club soda or tonic with lime and lots of ice. Vodka and Perrier is really great, too, and if you're short on funds like me, add some water to make it last a little longer.

As a recovering alcoholic with plenty of drinking experience I must warn you that vodka and sprite both contain a ton of sugar. Sugar and alcohol are not good in combination because the body uses similar tools to metabolize both, and if you load up on both it can get overwhelmed and make you really really sick! Don't try and get drunk on the combination - have some "dry" booze without sugar or just don't drink so damn much.

Believe me, for many of us sugar and alcohol is the recipe for the world's deadliest hangover (I'm talking of course about large quantities of both, at LEAST five or six shots of booze plus several hundred sugar calories, though medium quantities can cause a bad time especially if followed up with several puffs of the green stuff...)

20. I can ruin that drink easily. |
|
Replace the Sprite with Coke.
Also works with Whisky and Coke, and to a lesser extent Rum and Coke. Gin and Coke might be ruined too.
Wine and coke is rubbish, as is beer and coke. But the weird thing is cider and coke can go together. At least I like cider and coke.
Mark.

all the other suggestions just give me hiccups, and it doesn't even require the vodka to do so! x(
