3. Not unless you're into bodybuilding.
They need weight gainers to bulk up during the mass building phase. Gives fuel for muscles to grow. Adds fat too. Then once they got the muscle on, they diet very carefully and sometimes take supplements to burn the fat and leave most of the muscle behind. Then you repeat the cycle.
