OK
Its been fun picking on Palin.. the "beauty queen" or the "journalist"
(not touching the other stuff = thats for GDP)

But seriously... I really can't complain much about Alasks's governor when I have had this:

Governor Jesse the Mind Ventura

Before governor days

After (arrr matey!)

Who knew that classic 1987 movie Predator would spawn 2 governors???

So... who are your famous or "before they were Governors" picks?

6. Brian Schweitzer, D-Montana
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Schweitzer

Schweitzer worked as an irrigation developer on projects in Africa,
Asia, Europe and South America. He spent several years working in Libya <3>
and Saudi Arabia and speaks Arabic.<4> He returned to Montana in 1986
to launch a ranching and irrigation business in Whitefish.

His rousing fifteen minute convention speech was my favorite from this year's
Democratic Convention. :
