What's the average time in service for a PC?

Anybody?

4. My PC is 5 years old and still works fine
It won't play the latest video games, but I'm not a gamer. I have upgraded the RAM and I had to buy a new DVD ROM. That's about it.

5. For me, it's hard to say when one PC ended and the next began.
I upgrade parts as I go.

About the only thing that has not changed on mine is the hard drive and the case.

6. Same here, my most recent upgrade is the most radical though....
New case, new Mobo/CPU/RAM, new sound card and graphics card, the only thing left from the old computer are the hard drives and CD/DVD burner.

7. I've owned three PC's over at least that long.
First PC was a 386SX, then a Pentium I, currently a Pentium IV that does everything I need it to.

8. Average for PCs will be lower because of gamers.
They need the latest and greatest. Most everybody else doesn't.

9. Our current primary one is about six months old
Our other two functioning PCs are upstairs, and they work just fine at 10 and 11 years old respectively.

10. I just got my third PC in 10 years, and not because I needed to.
I just had nothing better to buy.
