Has anyone seen the movie- Across the Universe? |
|
I saw this last night. I thought it was an odd movie, but I enjoyed it none the less. I was a fan of the Beatles music, but thought their sound had become dated. I thought the movie did a great job giving their songs a fresh sound. I had watched the American Idol Beatles covers, and thought they were aweful. I think AI could take a lessen on how to do a proper cover.

I'm also a Beatles fan and I enjoyed it very much. It is part of my extensive DVD collection now. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

3. The individual stylings of each Beatle compiled into one song, will never become dated. |

i got talked out of it, because "it was just a bunch of actors singing beatles songs", so i waited until it came out on DVD. I really enjoyed the movie, it was much better than I expected. I DO wish i would have seen it on the big screen.

I liked how they transfered "I want to Hold Your Hand" into a love song.

I'm a Beatles fan and all, but I didn't get into the movie. It wasn't as bad as Stigwood's take on Sgt. Pepper, but it wasn't as good as a good Beatle's movie like Help or A Hard Day's Night.
