Let us now pause for a freakout
My kid is starting kindergarten tomorrow!

Sigh. I know this happens every year around this time and all, but this is MY kid we're talking about--my itty bitty baby! ...Or maybe not so much anymore.

(This is him.)

That is all. We now return you to your regular Lounging. :hi:

2. Hee--I was afraid of that
That it's going to be a day so traumatic it'll be etched on my memory for the rest of my life!

I actually have to leave the house on Friday to do some freelance work, and I'm in a cold panic about it--what if something happens at school?! I can't leave the neighborhood!

Yez, I'm being silly. So when does the freedom thingie kick in?

5. Thank you, Darkstar!
:hi:

He's a good kid, and yes, he is nervous, even though he attended a monthlong kindergarten prep class in July to get him acclimated. He's already declared he "hates school" :eyes: but I know that he hasn't suddenly leapt into adolescence; it's just his nerves talking. Took him a while to get to sleep tonight...

6. He is BEAUTIFUL!!
What a little angel!

I too get weepy at every milestone- I'm already freaking out that my son will be going away to college in 2 years- yet every age has its joys.

Treasure the moment- he is still so small.

7. Thank you kindly, LB!
We like him! Okay, a whole lot. He's a good kid (most of the time, anyway!)

Yeah, I was weepy today, but not overly so. Now, tomorrow, when I have to drop him off and go away for six hours...that's another story!
