I'm officially burned out on the election...
Not really a political post, more of an exhaustion post.

I'm just burned out. I don't want to watch pundits, Sunday morning shows, debates, conventions...Make it STOP.

Ugh.

x(

/vent over.

1. Really? I'm just starting to fire up again, after 4+ years of apathy with stolen elections.
:hi:

2. I think I know how you feel
If they'd talk about issues and positions, it'd be one thing. But it's all just superficial crap; even Charlie Rose has been crap the last couple of nights.

If it weren't for baseball, I'd just go to sleep until Nov. 4. x(

3. Try being here in California - we will have had when the November election comes around
THREE, count them, three elections. We had Ballot Props in February, Ballot Props and judges in June, and we will have Ballot Props, Local, State, and Federal Elections in addition to the Presidential.

I am so done with "Election 2008".

I am voting absentee in November, so I do not have to go to the creepy guy's garage to vote. (some of our voting precincts are done in people's garages around here).

8. Well I will be very happy to vote NO on Prop 8, when the time comes
:hi:

Yes, no more creepy guy's garage this time around. I always made it a point to take K with me before school, so I have no time to "chit chat" with the creepy guy.

Especially after Peggy Hill's speech tonight.

They should call us Serta, because we're taking this shit to the mattresses. ;)

9. I was listening to Wu-Tang earlier.
I pictured the "Serta" line coming out of RZA's mouth.

11. I was burned out right before the Indiana/North Carolina primaries.
I got my fire back when Obama won the nomination, lost it a bit, saw it again last week and lost it again.

12. Exactly...
I need some time off before I go campaigning up in NH later this month. I think I'll concentrate on school and just tune it out. It's draining me.

13. I really just wish it were November 4th.
Win or lose, I can't take this stress building up to the election.

14. I hear you, but Sniffa and I plan to kick ass in NH!
I need about 3 weeks off from cable news/pundits. Maybe then I can refocus and concentrate on the GE. Thankfully, I have a fuckload of work to do, so that shouldn't be an issue. :P

15. It's tough.
I stopped watching the cable news shortly after Obama returned from Europe. I returned to watching it during the convention, but doubt I'll watch it again until Obama has this thing wrapped up or election night.

Whatever comes first. :D
