I realize that I am not the focus of this person's anger really. I just wish they wouldn't shut me out. If I could not take to heart jabs and comments made by people I'd be a lot better off.

My goal for the new year... is just that. Fuck it if you (not you, unless you do) have a problem with me, its your problem now. I'll take care of my side of the street, you take care of yours. If I step on your toes, I'll make amends, if you can't accept that, then I don't know what to tell you.

I'm responsible for myself ultimately in this world and not anyone else. Well I'm responsible for caring for and providing for my son, but ultimately he too is responsible for himself in life and the sooner he learns that the better off he will be.

10. there really is an art to good communication

sometimes don't you just wish you could cover someone's mouth and have them listen to you... until you get out the points you want to make... and then if they have any questions or concerns they would be allowed to ask questions for you to clarify....

And THEN, after the two of you are CLEAR on what's being said, then they get to add their two cents....


of course, it would have to work that way when the other person has a point to make too...

now and again, and I'm NOT criticizing you for posting it (hey, isn't that what the Lounge is for?), but when you do get to feeling like that, go anead and post about it, but THEN move on.

This is advice from a friend, one who learned long, LONG ago that a positive attitude, and a willingness to let the negative stuff go and not worry about it, really CAN change (or even save) your life.
