49. No, Peg, even such a rake as I runs out of gas now and again, though thanks for the

kind words, as usual.

But tonight is just an off night, with the crappy weather from Hanna combining with a pain spike from Mister Leg. And, wouldn't you think that there would be some justice in this universe, where if your leg hurt a REAL LOT, the damaged nerve in your shoulder would let off on you for just one night or two?

But no. As I'm sure you know, if anyone ever told you life would be fair or easy, they were lying.

But I'm not complaining. The sales rep I hired to find me new customers in New England less than two weeks ago has already set me up for a meeting with a potential new customer next Wednesday. Which is EXACTLY what I hired him to do.

Oh, yes. I knew that hiring those guys to represent me was a good idea, but I did not expect it to generate any opportunities this quickly.
