Got this clip from Political Videos and felt compelled to do a little hands on research. According to this numbdick, homosexuality is a mental disorder that usually goes hand in hand with some childhood trauma that turns you against the opposite sex. (Among other incredibly fucking stupid arguments.)

So my question is, what was the horrific event in your childhood that gave you the gay?

6. The power went out during an episode of "The Brady Bunch"

Greg was surfing with that goddamn evil tiki around his neck. Jan & Marcia were jumping up and down on the beach, screaming at him to be careful. Those young women, just a few years older than me, displaying themselves in those flattering swimsuits were the last thing I saw before the power went out. It was traumatic. The image stayed with me during the power outage, then all through my childhood. Surely that made me gay.

I had a good summer - I just wanted it to last longer. We have to get a new furnace, so no trip to SF this year, alas.


We had a nice lunch for my tai-chi teacher's b-day today, and then I'm going to the Irish Festival tonight, and then a Steeler party tomorrow.


So it's a much busier weekend than usual!

23. My oldest son is gay. According to the fundies, I did it. I doubt it.

Hubby is a shrink. He does not subscribe to the domineering mother theory. If anything, I was
more willing to let the kids make their own decisions. I came from an emotionally abusive home
and I was determined to let my kids know they were loved and accepted.

I believe that sexual preference is as genetic as hair/eye color.

We have another son who has a genetic eye disease that has never appeared in either family.
Hubby and I are both carriers, so any of our children would have a 1 in 4 chance of inheriting it--and he did.
