1. I say about 1800
Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 01:36 PM by Richardo
L * 3.14*(r*r)

6 * 3.14*(10*10)

6 * 314

1884 cu ft

1 gallon of milk comes in a container a little less than 1 cubic foot.

15. No. No they shouldn't. No ever. Not ever ever ever.
Not if they're gonna come up with "1800 gallons" for something that monstrous.

:P

4. 14,130 gallons?
Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 01:50 PM by Jamastiene
God, I need to practice my math skills more often. I'm losing it.

Volume = 0.785 * D^2 * H
= 0.785 x 20ft² x H
= 0.785 x 400ft² x 6ft
= 314ft² x 6ft
= 1884ft³

Conversion factor
1 cubic foot = 7.5 gallons

1884 * 7.5 = 14130 gallons

8. I edited the other post, but I'll repeat it here with the actual
calcs to see if I am closer now.

Volume = 0.785 * D² * H
= 0.785 x 20ft² x H
= 0.785 x 400ft² x 6ft
= 314ft² x 6ft
= 1884ft³

Conversion factor
1 cubic foot = 7.5 gallons

1884 * 7.5 = 14130 gallons

16. Not sure how exact the OP needs this but
7.5 gallons per cubic foot is a common estimate. It is actually 7.48 and some change. So, I come up with around 14,092 gallons.

6. Now i've got it!

vol of a cylinder = Pi * r^2 * h = 3.14~ * 20^2 * 6 = 7539.82 cu ft

1 gal = 0.13368 cubic feet

7539.82 / 0.13368 = 1007.92 gal
