That really captures the dead, lonely feeling one gets when looking at big-box stores - in our consumer world, architecture is strictly utilitarian, sparse and ugly. But this painting is rendered in such a beautiful way that even the cracked pavement has a strange sort of charm. And the sky is gorgeous - provides an interesting counterbalance. I also like the trees in the distance - nature pushed aside, hovering on the edge of "civilization".
Definitely a snapshot of our times.

One has to admire art that makes the ugly beautiful.
