What's your school of philosophy
Edited on Wed Feb-25-04 08:35 PM by MAlibdem
I'm a Rational Existentialist (i draw on the traditions of the englightenment and existentialism)

What are you?

Edit: mostly nonreligious existentialism, like sartre or beauvoir (im reading the second sex right now)

11. I'm reminded of Cat's Cradle
whenever nihilism shows up

The narrator leaves his house in the care of a nihilist, who kills his cat and writes in feces on the kitchen floor

im thinking maybe-you meditate? that would be more clear mind than what actual nihilism entails.

18. Not nihilism -- not meditation either, but closer to that
Think Alice Through the Looking-Glass and the Wood Where Things Have No Names. That's about as close as I can get to describing it.

12. I'm a Dynamist.
Not a "traditional" school of philosophy, mind you, but from "The Education of Henry Adams." You know, the bit where he talks about the ages of the Cross, the Virgin, and the Dynamo.

I am a Dynamist.
