Bugatti limiting top speed of delayed 16.4 Veyron

By AUTOWEEK

Bugatti is planning to limit the top speed of its delayed 16.4 Veyron to 218 mph, according to sources close to the Volkswagen-owned company. The move follows long-standing rumors suggesting road-going prototypes of the 8.0-liter W16-powered two-seater had experienced stability problems at high speed.

Instabilty at high speed? You don't say. At 250 mph the car is unstable?

How about those German carmakers? Not satisfied with making the Porsche, Mercedes, BMW and Audi brands into the most desired brands in the world, they're trying to save other countries best cars. BMW bought Rolls Royce and revived the Mini. VW seems even more ambitious by bringing the Bentley into the 21st century, transforming the Skoda into a capitalist success story and even reviving the legendary Bugatti name. Maybe Mercedes will even bring back Chrysler-Dodge. Bringing back the Hemi wasn't a bad idea.

1. And Audi has certainly brought back Lamborghini,
which was on the verge of disappearing forever.
