Pictures from Gotland, Sweden
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 02:37 AM by MissHoneychurch
Fårö, a small island north of Gotland (also an island) has very interesting stone sculpturing made by the nature.

7. You're killing me!
I've always wanted to go to Paris. Can't wait for those pics.

I haven't even started saving for my May vacation yet. Planning on going to Bequia in the Grenadines. Airfare is going to be outrageous!

My next trip will be to DC in November, but that's a work thing. I'm thinking of staying an extra day, and just paying the added expenses. We'll see.

going with 48percenter. Yes, that should be a fun trip.

I think I'd consume all the bread that my body could hold.

I'm at work now, so I best earn my keep. ;)

Wishing you a great day.

5. It was really very bizarre
almost like from another planet. I was very fascinated by it. I took quite some pictures. I think it was one of the most impressive things I've seen during my Sweden vacation.

11. I do believe it is a word
in German it is atemberaubend schön :)

Your words hit it exactly. I felt I was alone at the end of the world (Ok, I was almost alone, only my mom and her bf were around). That scenery would make a fantastic background for Lord of the Rings :)

24. Yes, the late season ones are coming
there's Maryland, which is in progress; Carolina (in NC) starts the beginning of October, and Louisiana, which starts in mid-November. I'll be going to Carolina a couple of times.

28. Maybe
I normally go for fun. I know a few of the Carolina cast, so if they ask, I may become the Navigator for a weekend. I would be well-prepared with my new (kinda large) period 32-point compass. :D

21. That is what I thought too
even though I never was anywhere near the Easter Island. But from the pics I've seen, yes. But aren't the sculptures at the Easter Island manmade? These here are "Godmade" :D

:hi:

31. Yes, that's correct, on Easter Island they are manmade
That's what I thought was ironic... that some similar ones, in Sweden, were not!
