If Tony Romo Sees You Stranded on the Side of the Road, There's a Good Chance He Helps

Is there nothing Tony Romo can't do? Beat the Browns? Check. Woo Jessica Simpson from John Mayer after he had already dumped her? Check. Make Wade Phillips less goofy-seeming by comparison. HUGE CHECK.

And just when you thought Romo was the model of perfection, he goes and saves a couple from a burning automobile, somehow making him more perfect. Okay, slight exaggeration, but Romo, returning home after the Cowboys thoroughly waxed the Browns earlier in the day in Cleveland, pulled over to assist Bill and Sharon White, who were busily changing a car tire after suffering a blowout.

"I don't know, a hundred cars, probably more, had to go by. Nobody was stopping," said Bill. "That's just kind of the way it is in today's world."

And then ... "Bill was fooling with that tire, and I was standing beside the car watching him," Sharon said. "The next thing I know, a nice-looking young man, very well-dressed, but with something strange on his chin, he walked up, smiled, and said, 'Hey, you need some help?' "

So, did he need stitches after last week's game? I never did find out.

Oh, btw, I think he's awesome too!!

7. There is a first time for everything
I knew they weren't ready last year even through all the wins and hype. Too inexperienced, too inconsistent. We'll see if more experience and a stronger roster will help.

13. Ah, he has only been a starter for a year and a half
Lot's of time left in which will be a fine career.

10. ahh yes
Just like

"the Giants won't beat a well rested Tampa team in the Florida heat"

"there is no way the Giants can beat all star Dallas Cowboys in Dallas"

"there is no way that Eli and the Giants will be able to beat the mighty Green Bay Packers in the Frozen taundra of Lambough field"

"there is no way the Giants can beat the greatest team of all time, the perfect New England Patriots"

been there, done that

12. He is a good quarterback, and what the haters don't understand
is that he has only been a starter for a year and a half. He's only going to be better, and he will follow in the tradition of Staubach and Aikman.

15. OK. I kinda like Romo, too.
He couldn't have been more helpful if the handed the football to the Giants defense.

16. I was impressed with Romo last weekend
Dude's got an arm. And a good receiver in T.O.

Having said that, I still loathe the Cowboys.

17. It's okay to loathe
And it's good to see someone who loathes a team at least recognize a good player and person.

22. I don't think he's lousy but I don't think he's that great either.
Certainly not as great as Cowpuke fans make him out to be. Hell I can be an All Pro with all of those offensive weapons.
