And BTW, I'm Muslim.

Will I be deeply offended??? Will it be an exhilirating emotional roller-coaster???

Should a liberal Muslim father and son go see that movie this Saturday night???

I'm being honest. I know absolutely NOTHING about this movie.

1. Try rottentomatoes
http://www.rottentomatoes.com

Check out the movie reviews, (you'll see both positive and negative) I'm sure you can get a pretty good feel for it from there. I'd personally wait for the crowds to thin if you do elect to see it.

2. I'm gonna go see it on Saturday
Roger Ebert gave it two thumbs up, so I guess it must be good.

and for you -do you really want to see a really horrific film about christ? it has nothing to do with christ`s passion for mankind but it is an interpertation of christ by a deranged film star. christ had a message for mankind and gibson splatters it with blood and gore...

9. Uh, I'm the son.

I'm only 21. My 63 year-old dad is coming to town. And if I had a son, he'd be 3 or 4 years old at most. :)

4. I haven't seen it but I'll wait till it gets to blockbusters and I have a

free one :)

I would advise a liberal Muslim father and son to go see something that will be less crowded on a Saturday night, with less risk of resultant Reese's pieces shortage.

Better yet, go to Blockbuster and rent Gigli. Don't listen to the critics, it's hilarious! JLo as a lesbian hitperson. Lines like "God bless you, penis." Order in some biryani and laugh at Jerry Stiller's attempt at acting.

5. I'm not going to see it.
I guess I have no interest in seeing the torture murder of a revolutionary. Just from what I've seen on TV I know that I do not want these images in my psyche. No way.

6. Know much about passion plays?
They were started in the 13th century Europe to get the unwashed masses riled up and march off to Jerusalem to killed jews and muslims.

.

and remember

it's a movie, not a documentary

most movies twist, distort, embellish etcetera on the "truth" part

otherwise movies just plain wouldn't sell!! . .

So investigate, and be your own judge . . .
