well. mom and dad in mississippi. sister at hospital in se texas
my sister is a nurse and they called the mandatory evac order while she was on her shift, so she has to stay, but she is at least on higher ground.

oldest nephew in coastal area about 80 or so miles from galveston.

other nephews on the way to chicago with their biological father.

i told my oldest nephew where the weapons and ammo and money i left in texas are. he is partying with friends (they're about 10 deep) and thinks it's all a blast. i wish he would leave.

all my people live near the gulf in various texas towns.

my friend from high school's parents (i work with him) are about 40 nautical miles from the gulf off galveston bay. they literally live two blocks from the water. and are not leaving.

i hope to god this shit isn't as dire as they predict.

3. my mom is okay
so is her 17 year old mollybeast (cat).

they could only find hotel reservations as far as mississippi.

i'm worried about my oldest nephew.

but he's tough, a good marksman, can survive in wilderness conditions with just a knife.

i hope they don't get flooded.

my sister is probably in the safest place in the county: diesel generators; plenty of cops and doctors; at least 20 ft above sea level.

the good thing is i'll get to see my two nephews this weekend, because they'll be in town!

4. Will your sister be at the hospital indefinitely?
That's cool that you get to see your nephews. :)

2. I wish people would be safe and evacuate
Once they start talking about a possible 20' storm surge

it's nothing to mess around with.

:scared:

(If the graphic is missing when someone reads this, it's 'cause the model was updated. Name of the file changes.)
