I just might be the BEST wife ever!

So...a couple of weeks ago my hubby tells me he has a chance to hang out with a few guys and sail a 42' sloop from San Diego to Ensenda, Mexico. Only problem was....it's this weekend and my birthday is Sept. 13th. My hubby has never sailed before, never been to Mexico. I tell him to go and have some fun and don't bother calling me if he ends up in a Mexcian jail. Then I got up with him to kiss him goodbye and make sure he had everything he needed....at 4:00 a.m.

Aren't I the greatest?


P.S. Please give me ideas on how to parlay my awesomeness into great things for the next year or so without having to preface everything with, "Honey, remember when I said go have fun in Mexico...on MY BIRTHDAY?".....hehehe

4. Well.... here's the problem.

I don't like knick knacks. And we're not very traditional types. We rarely give each other gifts on days that traditionally call for them. If he or I want something and we can afford it we buy it and say..oh, well, we'll say it's a birthday present.

He's actually pretty perfect, but if I could just use the awesomeness to make him rinse the milk out of the bottom of his glass before it congeals...oh, and for him to actually PUT the dishes in the dishwasher, not just on top of the dishwasher.

To be totally honest, I'm not at all put out with him not being here on my birthday, because as I said above, we're not the traditional celebratory types. What I am a little miffed about is he won't be here to watch the USC/Ohio State game with me. **sigh**
