The Veterinary Hospital where the kitten died is really great:

First, they sent me a sweet card with their condolences. Then today, I got a statement telling me that they credited me about $420 on the $1000 CareCredit account I took out that night, because their services did not amount to the full $1160 that I paid that night.

Nice, and honest. I appreciate it.

2. When they had my dog Buddy cremated, they sent his body

to a wonderful place in VT, and we got the ashes in a beautiful carved wooden box, with a certificate stating that he was individually cremated. Also they sent flowers and a book about dealing with the loss of a pet.

Class act, no?

I'm much happier to have a $582 bill than a $1000 bill. The first year is interest-free, and I'll have it paid off long before that. Then I'll have the $1000 account for emergencies with the wee ones, which would be great.

I've been away and didn't know that.

But aren't vet's offices great? Mine is like that, too - so caring and thoughtful and genuinely concerned about me and my pets.
