... okay, so my computer is mostly functional again. :P I'm still trying to recover everything I had on my other drive, and unfortunately my near-death backup drive that I kept a lot of data and whatnot on seems to have also died in the interem. Go figure. :banghead: Half the reason I bought this new drive was so I could try and back up that data and not lose it. D'oh. Everything I've ever recorded since I got my microphone is on that drive.

But I'm online. And my computer is running. So I'll be able to use it for schoolwork and to keep connected with the world. So I'm not going to go insane or fail out of school anytime soon. And I can get my DU fix on a regular basis now. :thumbsup:

5. I posted when I could...

which was unfortunately, twice, if I recall correctly. Both times from my local library, 'cause I never found the time to get online when I was on campus.

I actually had Windows installed and the computer working a few days ago... unfortunately the one set of drivers I couldn't find were the drivers for my ethernet. D'oh. So I couldn't get online, couldn't access any files on my external drive, ect. And my ethernet adaptor was just old enough that it was damn near impossible to find the drivers on the company's website. I finally found it about 5 minutes before the library closed and kicked me off their computers. :P
