The question occurred to me today when I was thinking about a moment in the film Hannibal, when Lecter tells Clarice that she has "very shapely feet." Whether she does or doesn't isn't of much interest to me, but I found the comment so off-tone for Lecter that it stands out like a sore toe.

I wear steel-toed boots all day, have had several very bad feet related accidents (they don't look so bad, considering), but still I would rather someone was focused on some other part of my body, really!! AG!
