The stuff made in California is sparkling white wine..cause the French they don't like copycats...:D

Never mind that the New World "champagnes" have become every bit as good as the original, if the grapes weren't grown in a strictly delimited piece of French geography, then the stuff ain't champagne, mon ami.

Good news for those of us who like good champagne but don't like the price: buy the better and cheaper California stuff.

Reasonable price, and to my palate, better than the more expensive bottles.

I do like the French thoughtfulness, just for the precision, but California sparkling wine is every bit as good.
