I can't always see pic's in people's posts. Just a red X |
|
Do I need to adjust a setting or something on my PC? If I copy their url from properties I can pul the pic up in my browser in a separate window, but not always in the post.
What am I missing? This just happens on *some* pics.

that is strange. i don't have that problem so i don't think it's DU's problem. are you talking about pics people include from places other than DU?

4. When you get the red x |
|
right click on the x. select properties. A new window will come up.
Copy and paste the URL in that window into your browser.

|

I edit the post. Sometimes it works. Other times just putting img in brackets on each side of the pic works.

8. Likely a firewall problem.... Norton Internet Security does this |
|
at least on my desktop which is still running Win98SE.... Try temporarily turning off your firewall when you open your browser. Unfortunately, though, you need your firewall and I have been unable to find a permanent solution, although I have wasted much time with Norton's tech services. Since most pics come through, I tend to just go with it.

I upgraded my firewall recently. I'll experiment with the settings and see if that helps.
