Fess up... who else "blots" the top of their pizza? |
You know what I mean...take a paper towel and pat the top of the pizza to get off the icky orange grease. I guess deep down we think it somehow makes the pizza "healthier"...LOL
I see it as being the same as ordering a Big Mac and a diet Coke.

5. I blot as well, but not because it's healthier, but because the grease is gross. |
Just like if I were to get a big mac and a diet coke, it's because i drink diet coke. i can't stand sugared soda.

6. Only if the grease is really bad. |
And not because I think it makes it healthier, but I just don't enjoy drinking grease off the top of my pizza like it's juice.

10. I do it even if it doesn't look greasy to the naked eye. |
It's amazing the orange gook a gentle pat will soak up.
I think it's more a habit now than anything else. For delivery we always order a pepperoni/feta combo and it doesn't seem as greasy.

7. If it is too greasy I will blot. |
No shame in that. You will find that the cheaper the cheese the more greasy it is. Better pizza places will not leave you cause to blot.

11. There's a place here that has the absolutely WORST pizza I've ever had. EVER!! |
But the locals think it's wonderful. So, I know that whenever there's a church event that involves ordering pizza, we'll get this crap. It is just SWIMMING with grease! And everyone here says, "You have to blot the grease off". Everyone gets out extra napkins and starts soaking the grease off their pizza, like they think that's how you're supposed to eat pizza. It always seems to me that it would just be easier to order good pizza. I'm funny that way.

12. That depends on if it's one of my homecooked pizzas |
or one we ordered. If I cooked it, I don't remove the grease, because there isn't much. If we ordered it, yes.
