"Bear" appreciation thread
I don't feel well tonight, but my cat "Bear" has stayed by my side all night.

He may be the wildest cat I've ever known, but he's the best, too!

:loveya:

1. What a cute kitty
My cat Smokie has been sticking by me on the nights I've felt bad..In fact she curls up next to me and starts purring...

3. Cats are amazing creatures, aren't they?
Somehow they know... I don't know how. I didn't even say anything.

2. This is so not where my mind was going.
I was expecting gay dudes who look like bikers or lumberjacks, or possibly lumberjack bikers. ;)

7. Snaps for "Bear"
We have a "Kona" who got a workout this week nursing my daughter. She was a great comfort all the way up until the time we had to rush our daughter to the hospital. And she has been doing double duty since we got home.

The doctors were afraid our 13 year old daughter had a ruptured appendix, but it turned out to be an ovarian cyst. Our daughter's doing fine now and has been cuddling with the cat almost all day today.

I hope "Bear" is as much of a comfort to you as our "Kona" has been to our daughter.

10. Oh... I'm glad it wasn't anything that serious
Bear was a great comfort to me, thanks. I think I got a mild case of food poisoning. I'll spare you the details.

Hope your daughter feels better soon!

14. She does now
We just thought she had the flu. And 12 hours later pain developed and we had to bring her to the emergency room. What a scare!

20. Ok...
When he was 3 years old, and we moved into a new apartment, "Bear" was really upset. I thought it would calm him down to show him where I put his food. Baaaa'aaad idea. As I picked him up he spun around and clawed my eye lid... luckily I blinked just as he did. It hurt like hell. We had an agreement after that night-- he wouldn't ever do that again and I wouldn't take him to the pound!!

22. Had a lot of cats growing up...
cats that were allowed to roam free, too. And, I've never - ever - known a cat as wild as "Bear" is. At the same time, he's also the sweetest cat I've ever known. It's a paradox!!

did you do anything to alter his eyes in that pic or did they just catch the light of your flash when you took it?
