Adrian Peterson--11 rushes, 106 yards, and not even half time. |
|
It's a shame the Vikings didn't go for a quarterback instead, eh?

2. The Colts absolutely suck today. |
|
And who would've thought they'd suck against the Vikings?
Another sack on Peyton, btw.

The passing game gets TD's not the running game. Hence Minny only having a scant 12 points which Peyton could overcome in 5 minutes.

I know Tarvarius Jackson (sp?) was supposed to be the next McNabb. They need a vet for him to work under for a couple of years. So does Vince Young.

8. If the Eagle owners would have ever given him a top-shelf receiving corp... |
|
We might be talking about Tom Brady as the next Jim Kelly--always losing the Super Bowl to the NFC.
I wonder how many of McNabb's injuries are from him risking himself to make something happen, because he's had no steady receivers to throw to.

7. Yeah, but in addition to, not instead of, Peterson. |
|
I don't follow these northern folk, but so far Jackson hasn't impressed me much when I've seen him. Maybe he'll get better.

9. I'd rather have an elite qb than an elite RB |
|
RB's nowadays don't last too long, and they're actually very plentiful, whereas there's not many good qb's.

13. Maybe. But I'd rather have an elite RB than two mediocre QBs. |
|
Would you really rather have Brady Quinn?

14. If I could have traded down to the 22nd spot to get Quinn, yes |
|
Quinn + that year's second and maybe the following year's first
I firmly believe that the passing game wins ballgames, and the first thing needed, well actually is an OL, then a QB, then everything after that is gravy.
Good QB's take their teams to the playoffs, and there's been plenty of great RB's on horrible teams.

16. Only if I needed a waterboy. |

If Quinn starts a complete NFL season, I'll be surprised. He had a talented team with a pro-style offense at Notre Dame, and did nothing with it. If he was there in the fifth round, I might have considered him. I'd pick Jackson as a QB over him.

18. If he didn't have talent he would not have went that high |
|
Anyways, we'll see since I think the Browns are going to have a terrible season and will likely end up putting Quinn in.
If Cassell pans out, maybe the Vikes could beg the Pats for him at the end of the year.

25. I tell you this: I'm GLAD he went for two. |
|
I did NOT want to sit through overtime! I think it was probably a good vote of confidence for Shanahan to put the game on the shoulders of Cutler and the offense.
