I'm considering calling them back to arrange. But I want to make sure that what I say is sharpened to a fine edge.

On Friday I received a 'security alert' saying that a former employee had sold personal info (SS, application data, etc) to a 'third party.' I contacted one of our local broadcast news stations and a reporter left a message about an hour ago.

I want to politicize this opportunity. What would you say?

1. First, do the police know about it?

'Cause this employee should be looking at some serious jail time.

Second, was it an employee doing it on their own, or with the consent of Countrywide? If Countrywide didn't know about it, then what kind of politicizing are you planning to do?

I want to make a point about trusting our personal information with corporations who apparently do too little to protect us.
