CNN just showed "in what respect, Charlie?" again. I find it painful.
I hate watching people embarrass themselves publicly. It reminds me of this chick in my Intro to Renaissance and Reformation class, who kept talking about "Prince Matchabelli" during a discussion of Machiavelli's _The Prince_. I nearly had to leave the room, it was so painful for me.

Please!! Don't make this woman embarrass herself in front of me again!!

1. No, she needs to embarrass herself at all possible junctures in front of as many people as possible.
With any luck people will see her as a female Bush.

2. I think they'll see her as more cuddly and relate even more to her
they want "presidential candidates -- they're just like us!" I don't want a presidential candidate who is just like me. I want someone who is fucking brilliant. I think maybe we need a competency test as a requirement to run.

3. I often used to blush is anybody made a fool of themselves in front of me. I don't
seem to mind all this "Charlie" talk. It is almost like she is one of Charlie's Angels.

4. I have been on both sides of the interview process
and I can't imagine someone acting like that in what is essentially a job interview. It wasn't the words, it was her smugness and patronizing mannerisms.

9. she "Charlie"-hoarsed herself
Did you see Daily Show clips where they put all the "Charlies" together? Hilarious! "Charlie," "Charlie," "Charlie," "Charlie," "Charlie."

This woman is supposed to be so charming and her major trick is out of Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People."

Cher

p.s. loved the LOLcat "Charlie."

10. Reminds me of a Miss Virginia pageant a few years back.
During the "talent" portion of the show, one of the contestants announced she was going to sing something from Puccini's Tosca. Only she pronounced it "TOES-KUH" and it sounded like "Toast-Ka." She must have been using this pronunciation for some time, and no one bothered to correct her. She was also like G.W. when he learns a new word, 'cuz she said Toes-Kuh over and over.
