Yes, he was admitted since the wound is pretty bad and he needed IV antibiotics. The procedure needs to be done under general anesthesia too.

I spoke to him about an hour ago and he was still waiting to go into surgery. He doesn't know yet if he'll be discharged tonight. I'll know more later this afternoon.
