102. My mom has it, along with the rest of her 60's and 70's vinyl...
I told her once that i will die if i don't get these from her estate:

1.) All that old vinyl (50's-70's country, pop, and film soundtracks... about 500 LPs, plus maybe another 500 45's)
2.) The hugemungus RCA console stereo... it's as old as i am, and still in like-new condition (need that to play the old vinyl)

Sabbath was always heavier to me though. Withcraft is more like the band Pentagram, but they do say Sabbath is their 2nd main influence. It's really good stuff no matter who inspired them. :)

11. Beatles - Yesterday and Today

A not so subtle statement on how the boys felt about Capitol chopping up their entire catalog and repackaging albums in whatever manner they wanted, instead of simply releasing albums and singles as they were actually recorded and released on EMI in the UK.

I also listened to John Klemmer's Barefoot Ballet, and the more-spirited Earth Wind & Fire, AWB, Pat Metheney and the Crusaders.

Oddly enough, my two non-jazz faves from the day were Bruce Springsteen and Steely Dan, which tells me I was a Sax Fiend - for real. Still get a thrill at a Springstten concert when The Big Man comes out on stage!!

As for dating myself - my, my, Innuendo monday indeed!

Why? most people would ask. There's nothing extraordinary about the graphic design (like a 'Sgt.Pepper' or the like), nothing very "cool" or innovative about it at all. But this cover somehow says something about the artist and the album's music.

Because this is also my favorite album of all time.

But My Morning Jacket also has some interesting album covers that I like.

103. A few more of my favorites...
Let Them Eat Jellybeans

Dead Kennedys - In God We Trust, Inc.

Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness

The last one was done by John Rainey Jr., the same artist who did my first two tattoos.
He decorated every hair-metal band in the biz in the late 80's/early 90's

106. Not the best, but certainly one of the most
memorable. And people still show up everyday in droves at the intersection of Grove End and Abbey Rd.to recreate it.
