I'm envisioning a nightly game show a la "Are You Funnier Than Jay Leno?" where everybody gets to win.

3. On the one hand, I don't really have anything against Leno, but on the other hand,

I find him only intermittently funny. Besides, Conan deserves the larger audience afforded by an earlier timeslot.

9. I think we're being a little unfair.

By comparing Leno to either Johnny Carson, (nobody could match Johnny,) or David Letterman.

Leno could be funny at times, although the sketches he did sometimes were lame and/or stupid.
Especially if Gilbert Gottfreid was involved.

I enjoyed Leno's "Headlines," and sometimes his "Jaywalking" could be hilarious, finding the Bush/McCain voters. ;-)

night in that time-slot but also beat Letterman out for the job of replacing Carson. Such a relationship to both Carson and Letterman begs for comparison.
