4. He had a great smackdown of Vincent Gallo awhile back.
He had just given Gallo's "The Brown Bunny" a horrible review, so Gallo shot back with "Ebert is a fat bastard" or something to that effect.

Ebert responded, "I may be fat, but one day I won't be, but Vincent Gallo will always be the creator of 'The Brown Bunny.'"
