You know a classical DJ sucks when she tells you,
with a twinkle in her voice, that you may recognize phrases from Janacek's Sinfonietta if you are a fan of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer.

I wish she'd go back to North Carolina or Chicago. Her choice.

1. I find that much of Janacek's work is derivative of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer.

2. Don't forget those other ELP copycats:
Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky and
Aaron Copland

5. not to mention Kim Fowley.
Wow, "Pictures at an Exhibition" was awful.

At least "Fanfare for the Common Man" could be abused by ABC's Wide World of Sports until that television program's overdue demise.

Where is the Evel Knievel to inspire us now?

7. Yeah, but if she had said Jandek's "Nancy Sings" instead
She would have instantly become my favorite DJ of all-time:D

8. Classical DJs are too chatty.
Facts I need to know:

Who wrote the piece
Who is conducting it
Whom he is conducting
When the recording was made
Where the recording was made
What label it was released on

Relevant historical information or anecdotes are fine. Please do not make prog rock connections.
