Freaky coincidence...
I went to the convenience store last Saturday to get a can of sweet tea.

While waiting to pay. I glanced at the penny kitty and saw a silver coin.

I picked it up to examine it, and it was a Venezuelan coin. I asked the clerk if I could keep it, and he said sure (I collect coins).

A little while ago, I was reading the news on-line and saw that Bolivar Peninsula was pretty much wiped off during Hurricane Ike on Saturday.

I glanced over and saw the Venezuelan coin I picked up Saturday.

Face value: 1 Bolivar.

3. I'm sure some here will say karma
If so, karma works in reverse (punishment before the crime?).

I had never seen a Venezuelan coin before, not a common occurrence in Boston, I'll tell you that.

I'm still a bit spooked.

2. Keep your hands off the state quarters.
Who knows what will happen otherwise?

Here's a freaky coincidence in my life. I was working for a municipal agency, preparing reports to the state. I jokingly said to a friend that if Mr. "State Official" would drop dead my workload would be a lot easier. Two days later...there was the news of his passing.

worth about $25 in perfect condition.

:hi:

PS: Last year I went to have my heart checked because I was having chest pains.

They did the whole cathetherization and my heart was fine; no blockage.

My doctor, however, keeled over from a heart attack in the office.
