The Fox and Illinois Rivers are both over their banks. The high school here and one grade school are flooded. It's worse than a year ago August, which was pretty bad. Water in my basement for the second time, but worse than the first time--but I can't complain; I'm not laying sandbags to protect my house or business. (I did help with sandbags for a while this afternoon).

All this while I wonder what effect the markets will have on my pension. Again, it's a lot worse for others, but it is worrisome.

I feel exhausted and sort of in crisis mode because things seem bad at both the national and local level. Hope you are all well. :hi:

1. Sorry to hear about the flooding, mycritters.
You are incredible ... you just count your blessings and pitch in to help others.

Sometimes a convergence of events seems like too much to handle. I hope things work out for you.
