this song reminds me of my grandmother

she had gone back to britain with my mother in the mid 60s. they came back to the states though

i remember the pictures she would show me of when she was young, before and during the war.

she died in 1999. it took her close to a month to die. she was a stubborn old broad. we sat in the hospice with her every night, trying to console her--we knew she could hear.

she finally let go.

then, on the day of the funeral, they had a big blizzard in chicago.

the priest couldn't get there, so the funeral director said the eugoogoly.

then all the way down to the south side and we had to leave her casket in the mausoleum because 14 feet of snow was on the ground.
