I cut the corner of my mouth and it hurts like a motherfucker.
And these cuts take forever to heal.

The whole side of the mouth feels like someone punched me.

Asshole cut.

1. There's a story with every injury.
What's yours?

2. Sorry
Here is a site that tells you how to heal. http://www.ehow.com/how_2295072_heal-cuts-corner-mouth.html B Vitamins seem to be relevant considering your screen name.

If it helps you feel better, I gave myself a black eye. I rubbed my eye so hard that I broke a vessel and have a black eye.

Funniest thing is how nice strangers have been. I have been doing my usual stuff, but everyone has been so much nicer. I forget about my eye, but I gather that is why people want to be nice to “the poor abused woman”.

19. Yeah, we live by a huge lake, but it doesn't do a damn good.
It's dry almost yearly.

At its worst, though, in the winter.

22. ewwww
though i do like being near the ocean because of the salt water. i have curly hair, and the salty air at the beach always seems to keep the frizz out. my grandparents used to have a place on the gulf, but they sold it earlier this year. :(

13. why so serious?

Wanna know how I got these scars? My father was....a drinker. And a fiend. And one night he goes off crazier than usual. Mommy gets the kitchen knife to defend herself. He doesn't like that. Not. One. Bit. So, me watching, he takes the knife to her, laughing while he does it. Turns to me and he says "Why so serious?" Comes at me with the knife,"Why so serious?" He sticks the blade in my mouth. "Let’s put a smile on that face!" And..... Why so serious?

25. I get cracks in the corner of my mouth
As I kid I thought that it was the way that the mouth grew. Nature can be so cruel. Decades later I found out it is called "perleche" - a yeast infection - and that it can be easily treated with a dab of clotrimazole, Canesten, a few times a day. Ask your doc if this might be what it going on with you, especially as it sounds as if this is not the first time it has happened. Or Google perleche for a picture to see if it looks like anything like what you have before you take it to the doc. Canesten is OTC so the treatment will be relatively cheap.
