Poll question: What can I get for my cashed-in AIG life insurance policy?
Last year, after seeing that AIG had the highest ratings of all potential life insurers that I had researched, I wisely took out a life insurance policy with AIG.

So....if I were to cash in my AIG life insurance policy today, what could I get?

2. These things have to be asset based
Then there is state insurance pool backing these things up.

Your money is safe....I think.

6. Should be full expected value.
The insurance portion of the business is a separate asset that is regulated and protected. You should see no adverse effect. (6 yrs experience as a Life Insurance/Mut. Funds agent.)

14. Ahhh, the Nationals....
Ensuring the Baltimore Orioles aren't the truly terrible major league baseball team of the Chesapeake Bay region, just pathetically mediocre. :)

12. Why would you cash it in?
If AIG had gone under your policy would have been sold exactly how it is to another company. YOu would lose nothing. The terms of the contract would stay the same.
