LOL, funny experience I just had at Blockbuster

I came in to pick up a movie. New release, just out today. I hate Blockbuster, but unfortunately the cool local indie place in my neighborhood doesn't get movies in the day they are released usually.

Naturally since I knew exactly what I was getting I made a bee-line straight toward it and picked it up. Checking out was like this:

Employee: *stares. You're kidding. You came specifically to get that? (Noticed my bee line no doubt.)
Me: Yeah. I like the director.
Her: I watched that one earlier. I was wondering if anyone would pick it up. It's...different but I liked it.
Me: You know it's from the same director of Pineapple Express right?
Her: What?! *shocked* Seriously?!
Me: Yeah. Pineapple Express is his first comedy.
Her: WOW.

Ha. That was kind of odd.
