Thanks, and an update on my situation |
|
Mr MB was at the house last night, much to my chagrin.
He asked if I had plans for dinner, I said no. He asked if I wanted him to cook something, I said no.
He made something for himself and went up to his office, only coming downstairs after I went up to sleep.
I am hoping that he makes his move and leaves the house by the end of the week.
Thank you ALL so much for your words of kindness and support. I never would have made it through the work day yesterday without you.

I wonder if he was told by his attorney to try to "play nice"? Sorry, that sounds so cynical. Either way, I hope he moves out soon too. I hate the state of limbo.
Thank you for the update.

4. May he do what is best for you both, and if that is to move out, |
|
may it happen quickly.
What a shock, MB. I'm so sorry. Again, you're in my thoughts.

6. Are you taking steps to secure yourself? |
|
Are you preparing to separate your finances from his? Are you looking for a lawyer, even if no one's actually filed papers yet? I hate even to bring these things up, but might it be worth your while (and money) to hire a private detective?
I wouldn't wish divorce--or even separation--on my worst enemy, but there are many possible positive outcomes to be had.

9. ***** I just spoke to him ***** |
|
I just spoke to him and told him since I was going to tell Little MB tonight, that he needed to just NOT BE THERE anymore. He asked what he was supposed to do and I said a hotel might be a start. he said fine and hung up. Now I know he is out until Friday evening, when he was scheduled to return from NYC. I suppose I will ask him to get a hotel room until he finds a place to live. He will not be happy, but this is what HE asked for.
Since our finances were never co-mingled, that part should be relatively simple. There is the matter of the mortgage - and I have been reaching out to legal eagles. I would like to think this can be resolved in an amicable way, so I am trying not to be too bitchy (although it is part of my charm :P )

11. I'm glad you are protecting your interests |
|
MB.
It's so unromantic to talk about money and finances, but it has to be done in any relationship. The fact that you have separate finances already is a good start.
FWIW, try to get all the big things resolved in a separation agreement. YMMV with the divorce laws in your state. When you do that, the actual official divorce is somewhat anticlimactic.
Much love to you MB.

Your husband is being a total douchebag.
My best thoughts for a positive outcome for you and little MB. I hope the STBE does not keep you in limbo for too long.
