I haven't had an interview in a long time...and I have never done a phone interview before.
What are the typical job interview type questions I should be prepared for?

1. I had one of those last week. |

It didn't work out; I do better in person. Just be aware of saying to manny "umm"s and "like." Keep it formal and have cheat sheet of the talking points you want to stress in front of you at all time. Also keep your resume in front of you; they are easier because you can have reference material at all times.

2. Thanks for the advice. |

I am extremely nervous about it--in person I can judge how a person is responding to me--their body language, facial expressions etc.
The phone interview thing is really freaking me out....I am not real sure if this is a good job for me anyway--so I will try to just use it as practice.

Speak clearly and basically be yourself. Treat a phone interview as you would a personal interview. Sit up straight, etc. It DOES make a difference in the impression that you make even over the phone.
Have a couple of questions in mind to ask about the job and/or the company when the interview is near completion.
Best of luck!

4. Don't wear your pajamas during the interview or your birthday suit! |

:hi:
Good luck. Just relax and it will go ok. As someone else said, keep your resume handy, take notes, and ask questions.

now you are giving me ideas that I shouldn't have....which is good--it makes me feel a little less nervous.
thanks again for reminding me about the need to be professional even if they can't see me--to tell you the truth I probably would have done the interview in my pj's....I am quite casual around the house...
