I'm not kidding!! I've always hated going to any dentist due to bad experiences as a child

and all the work I always seemed to need to have done and so, I was scared about going to

this appointment too. But I finally got to meet my new dentist and she's AWESOME!!!

I'm a new patient at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and my new Doctor looks

like Gwyneth Paltrow and she is such a kind person and has a great sense of humor!! :D

We hit it off almost immediatley! She was being serious, explaining the what's and how's etc.

and I was cutting jokes as she went along and she just started laughing and I actually had

a good time at the dentist today!! :P It was a long appointment, mostly for setting up my care

plan on a computer. But the Doctor assigned to me made me very comfortable and she was so

conscientious. There was another doctor there too and their supervisor, an older woman.

Plus another male Dr.; a supervisor, who said he liked and agreed with my "Impeach Cheney" hat!

All of them were very nice and put my fears away. I look forward to returning there! :D

Oh, and we cut up laughing because she said, "On your next visit, we will check everything,

take a "panoramic" Xray and we check for everything... heart disease, abnormalties, etc."

And while she was telling me all this, the other Doctor was taking my blood pressure, so I said,

"That's fine. Check everything you want to check but I draw the line at getting a Pap Smear

at the Dentist's office!" :P Then they both cracked up laughing!

She'll be e-mailing me when my next 3 appointments are instead of calling. My idea.

Anyway, I got lost coming home from Boston and really took the long route home! I left here

at 8 AM and got home, finally, at 2 PM and fell promptly asleep after I scarfed down a sandwich.

I was starving. Oh and great news! My BP was 112 over 78.... perfect!!

So, how was your day?! :hi:

1. Nice! I wouldn't mind a dentist who looked like Gwyneth Paltrow,
especially if she worked nude, hubba hubba.

Sounds like a heck of a good dentist, and you are lucky to have landed at her office!

experienced dentist's and teacher's there and they can't do anything to you without prior approval of their supervisors but my dentist already has her "Dr" title. She already has a lot of experience and Tuft's Dental School has all the new technology available, so she said they may be able to save my two teeth that are in question!! :D I feel safe with them, safer than any dentist I've ever been seen by before this!
