1. 3 times today I misplaced my eyeglasses.... Argh!

Do you ever fall asleep with your glasses on and wake up and they're no where to be found?
So, you end up on the floor on your hands and knee's trying to find them by feeling around?
That happened to me this morning and it's sooo aggravating! I finally found them, but it was
a shitty way to start the day! I wish I could get that laser eye surgery. :(

9. Tell yourself: "This is simply more proof that I am exceptionally sensible and well-adjusted"
That's what I tell myself when looking for my spare spare spare pair

3. I like to vote in polls. This doesn't pertain to me because....
I never take my glasses off except to sleep/shower. But wife has 4 pairs she leaves scattered about the house. And at times she can't find any of them.

4. I desperately need reading glasses, but
for some reason I get really self aware when I'm at the little reading glasses station in the store. I stand there and look at the chart and know I need a 1. something, but then when it comes to picking out a pair, I'm at a loss. I wish I had someone who would go with me and tell which ones look best, besides my mother, who had me wearing corduroy coolots until 6th grade. :eyes:

6. Go to an optomitists office and try some on there and
just tell them your trying to figure out which frames would look better on you.
Usually they're willing to give you an opinion!

Rule of thumb for eyeglass frames, as explained to me:

If you have a round face, get a squarish type frame.
If you have a squarish type face, get a roundish or oval type frame.
Try to go with frameless and it won't matter! ;)

5. Two words for you: Contact Lenses.
I wear 30-days ones - the kind you can leave in for a month.

Mark.

8. I vividly remember crawling around on soccor fields or public bathroom floors, desperately looking
for a contact that had popped out. A lost contact was always harder for me to find than a misplaced pair of specs. And my specs never hid on some hard-to-access part of my eyeball

12. Yeah... I've been there...
... but why I mention contacts is because contact lens wearers tend to have a storage of them, so it can be OK to put a set in the car, a set in the bathroom, a set somewhere.

But yes I do have glasses too...

But then if you have places like http://www.zennioptical.com - Zenni Optical - glasses for $8 + s&h - you can afford to get yourself a half-dozen pair and be OK. Admittedly Zenni can be hit-or-miss but my wife swears by them and literally has about a dozen glasses from them. There's two laying around in the bathroom, I'm sure, a couple in the bedroom and she keeps a pair in the car.

Good point about the contacts though.

Mark.

7. I lost my favorite pair a few weeks ago.
I couldn't find them anywhere. So I started wearing my spare pair. Last week I lost the spare pair and while I was looking for them I found my good pair. I still don't know what happened to the spare pair. I stopped looking after I found my good ones.

16. All I can say is: you're missing a great opportunity to make your hubby feel needed
Just think how important you could make him feel by constantly asking him to help you find your eyewear :D

14. I am sans glasses again and had to go back and get new ones. I guess
I could ask them how much the cheapest ones I can get in case I lose my new ones.

My eyes aren't that bad that I can't see at all thank God. And I take them on and off and I think that is why I lose them so often.

15. I hate contacts - glasses are my security blankie.. however I lose them often
I need to wear them all the time (my husband can actually walk around the house without his... I need mine to see my hand in front of my face).

Unfortunately I am messy and throw my glasses down where ever..and with 3 large dogs with poofy tails, my glasses get knocked behind stuff. So I have about 5 prs around the house - my 2 current ones, an old pr, a broken pr and an 80's pr for when things get deseperate.
