Unfortunately, my sunflowers did not survive the hottest of the summer.
Maybe next year.

Looks like the top or bottom half. Is it part of a chamber assembly, or does it support a third part?

4. It's the main assembly that holds the lenses for a billion pixel camera. |

9. The office where I work is a small subset of a major machine shop |
|
There's some interesting characters there, and they are all cool. One of them saved our company about 1,000 dollars by drilling holes in a 'blank' hard drive cassette for one of our servers. "Hey, can you guys drill some holes here and here and here and here?". Fuck yeah, come over to the press, just mark the spots.
Awesome. It was like IT nerds meet American Chopper. Only lacking the chrome.

12. I'd love to learn that skill, however |
|
in this case, a very exact drill is what was needed and used.
Shit, I should have been given a bonus for 'thinking outside the box'. Instead of ordering a new drive cartridge from Dell, we drilled holes through the blank, installed the drive, and got that shit done!

|
and lots of stress.
i'm "just" a toolroom machinist who doesn't get to do anything quite like that. we specialize mostly in medical implants.
