Lelapin finally got power after having none since Sunday. I talked to VenusRising last night and they're still in the dark. :(
I got a two week pass to one of the gyms here and found the courage to haul my butt there and meet with a trainer. In only two days, my mood is better and my knees (one of which was close to needing surgery) are not hurting as much. The trainer is concentrating on building up the muscles that support my knees. It's helping.
I meet with her again tomorrow to plan a program. I've not been craving junk food and hope that finally, I might get my cholesterol down, my blood pressure down and my mood up. And lose some weight. :)
No idea what I'm going to do when the pass expires, but I'll cross that bridge later.
:)

Congratulations on this! It's great to hear that I'm not the only one who has to haul ass - literally - to the gym. I'm proud of you.

I'm glad to hear my daughter not cracking around the edges any more. She sounds happy for the first time this week.

she's only in her 20's but has had ACL surgery on her right knee. She's also a graduate in physical therapy, so I intend to use all her knowledge. :)
If I didn't do something, I was going to face surgery at best and total replacement at worst. Both of my knees are hyper-extended. I was just born that way...

8. When I started jogging |

My left knee would sometimes just decide that it wasn't going to hold me up... every once in a while. It was discouraging. I'd be going along great, no problems, no pain and then..... boom! fall down. Not fun!
I asked the trainer if I should wear a brace and he said once you go to a brace, you'll wear it forever. So he showed me some exercises to strengthen the knee. No problems ever since.

I drag myself to the gym almost every weekday morning at 6:00 a.m. Sometimes it's really hard but I'm glad I do it. I haven't felt this good in years.
So glad Lelapin has power again; I can't believe how long it too. Ohio... (this Michigan native couldn't resist)

10. Good! All the little successes are important. |

Not that Lelapin's power coming back on is a little thing, but you know.
Glad to hear the gym stuff has you jazzed. I don't think there's a more important part of happiness than having the energy and physical satisfaction to support all the mental and emotional gyrations you need to do.
