My Cat is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
|
I brought my cat, Esther, home this afternoon!!! :D :D :D :D :D
The ride home from the shelter was the longest EVER, lol, as i had to deal with DC rush hour all the while she's giving me just sad meows. I get her inside and she quickly hides in bathroom so I leave to move the litter into the bathroom thinking she'll camp out there for awhile. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I leave the room, she wanders out and starts exploring the apartment. Now it's like she's always lived here, she loves the toys I got her and really loves watching outside through the big sliding doors. :D Now she's wandering somewhere in the apartment. I'll post pictures as soon as I can, she really is a doll.

We have been hesitant with a new love in our life. We lost our 13 year old Lab last year, and it still stings. I want to go to the rescue, but i know we will take them all home:) Maybe soon?
Anyway,I am sure it will work out well with the wee one:)

I hope you spend a lot of time bonding and share many happy years. :loveya:
If you get any sign that she's lonely during the day when you're not there, please don't hesitate to get a second cat. Young cats often need more comapany and companionship than older cats. Having a second cat is not significantly more work than one cat, and if the cats bond you'll have two very happy cats. :)

8. There is a chihuahua in the house |
|
They were introduced this morning, the dog was quite happy to have a playmate, Esther not so much, but she didn't act out. Esther is 5, so she's well into adulthood. She really likes sitting in front of the sliding doors watching the birds outside.
