they're stunning, one's maroon, one's yellow, and one's a rusty colored.....question is, when do I plant them, as I'm just leaving them in their pots for awhile, or should I plant them now and how do I know if they're annual or perennial??? Thanks.

1. You live pretty far north...
I know one thing for certain. You have to cut them back in the fall or they will die if they get too cold. I learned that one the hard way.

Sorry, it's been many years since I tried growing mums.

Here is a link I found for you: http://www.thegardenhelper.com/Chrysanthemum.htm

Good luck. Hope your luck with them is better than mine was! :hi:

2. Hello KC2 and thank you for this website.....
Yeah to living north, hopefully this winter will be "mild" as ones we've had previously. I think I'm gonna try to plant them right now, we do sometimes get that freak frost that will kill everything not covered. Thanks again.

3. The colors are wonderful.
I'd plant them right away. The further south you go, the longer you could wait. In central Ohio, we told customers to plant no later than October 15th.

Enjoy.

:)
