Here's my point. About half the games played after the All Star break don't matter anyway. Frankly, there's no reason the Kansas City Royals should ever play after the ASB. So here's what I propose.

100 games
All Star Game
Then start the playoffs. As teams like the Tigers and Indians get eliminated early, we don't have to watch them play 50 meaningless games.
